Meet the Founder
ACP (Retired) Lai Lee Ching
Founder and Principal AdvisorACP (Retired) Lai Lee Ching is an accomplished strategic leader, advisor, trainer, mentor and advocate for digital trust, cybersecurity awareness and scam prevention.
She brings close to 38 years of distinguished service with the Royal Malaysia Police, with extensive experience spanning strategic planning, fraud prevention, commercial-crime awareness, crisis communications, stakeholder engagement, community policing and public education.
She formerly served as Assistant Principal Director of Strategic Planning at the Commercial Crime Investigation Department, Bukit Aman, where she contributed to strategic initiatives and cross-sector collaboration involving government agencies, regulators, financial institutions, technology providers, businesses and community organisations.
Recognised as an ICON PDRM, she played a pioneering role in bridging policing and digital communication by initiating PDRM’s first official social-media presence. This initiative helped modernise police-public engagement, improve the delivery of timely information and establish a more direct connection between the police and the communities they serve.
Her experience has given her a distinctive understanding of how fraudsters and cybercriminals exploit not only technology, but also trust, authority, urgency, fear, hope and human vulnerability.
Through ACP Jaya Consultancy, she now applies her enforcement insight, strategic leadership and communication experience to help boards, organisations, leaders and communities understand risk, strengthen resilience and respond confidently to emerging challenges.
Her approach is practical and human-centred: awareness must go beyond knowing that a threat exists; it must influence behaviour, improve decisions and inspire action.
Founder’s Message
After close to 38 years of service with the Royal Malaysia Police, my commitment to protecting people continues in a new form.
My professional journey taught me that meaningful change begins when knowledge is translated into action. Technology may provide powerful protection, but people remain the heart of every organisation and the first line of defence against fraud, scams and digital threats.
I founded ACP Jaya Consultancy to share practical experience, strengthen leadership and help organisations and communities face emerging risks with greater awareness, confidence and resilience.
From boards of directors and senior leaders to employees, associations and members of the public, everyone has a role in creating a safer and more trusted environment.
Through strategic advisory, training, mentoring and collaboration, my purpose is to turn experience into insight, awareness into action and challenges into opportunities for positive change.
